Alexander Bonthrone

Alexander Bonthrone was recorded as owning a brewery, kiln, and malthouse on Burnside in Auchtermuchty in the 1850s and 1860s. In around 1856 he acquired the Newton Old Brewery in Newton of Falkland, which became the centre of his brewing operations.
